My Special Seasoning Infused Oil

My Very Own Seasoning Mix.

My Very Own Seasoning Mix.

As much as I talk about my special seasoning mix I think I may mention my oil as much. It is really simple oil to make and such a time saver.

~~~Special seasoning mix
~~~A well sealed glass container

All you need for this is my simple dried herbs and spice seasonings mixture with 1 ½ – 2 cups of EVOO. I use this to marinate chicken, fish and veggies. It can also be used with apple cider vinegar (ACV) or lemon juice to make a salad dressing. Of course if you are creative and do not have a problem with soy or gluten you can use soy sauce and balsamic vinegar for a true tasty dressing. This oil will keep for some time as long as it is not sitting in direct sun light and the area is cool. The favors of this oil will grow the longer it macerate/marinate. As mentioned I use it for marinating meats, tossing it will veggies before baking or grilling and sometimes as a salad dressing. It is an all purpose ingredient in my kitchen. Once you mix your own you will find it a helpful handy thing to grab for and you will never purchase infused oil from a store again.

After marinating your meats and veggies sprinkle an additional touch of sea salt and place directly on the grill or into the oven. I normally marinate the meat for at least 2 hours before cooking. The veggies will not take that long to soak up the favor.
