STIR FRY CABBAGE AND VEGGIES

August 22, 2014

We are having quick and easy cabbage the healthy food as a side dish for dinner tonight. Remember cabbage is only healthy if you make it that way. I put this dish together quick, fast and in hurry with a very few ingredients and most likely you will have everything you need already in the fridge to do the same. After returning home from a short vacation I noticed little to nothing to eat in my fridge. But there are always veggies and brown rice for those times when you want something quick, easy but healthy. Olive oil is a must in my house and my special seasoning is always at the ready. Here is what I used for this dish:

A head of cabbage

          Portobello mushrooms

          A mixture of fresh veggies

This can be stir fried or steamed. I decided to stir fry because we are having baked Swai fillets with this.

Shred the cabbage as if you are making slaw. Slice the mushroom into long thin slices; we want to see the mushroom after the dish is finished and it also add another layer of texture to the dish.

The usual suspects are needed to make this dish: special seasoning, EVOO and ginger and a heavy pan or Dutch oven to use on the stove top. You may add your special touch to make the dish your view own.
