Using my very own homemade mayo and freshly grated horseradish here are some easy breezy deviled eggs. This was supposed to be part of dinner but they were far too good to last that long. Here are my ingredients:

  • Hard boiled eggs
  • MSS
  • Bell pepper
  • Hamburger pickles (diced)
  • Horseradish (freshly grated)
  • Homemade mayo (EVOO, MSS, vinegar, egg, mustard, and hot water)

While I cooked and cooled the eggs I put together the mayo. This is such an easy condiment to put together and it is so fresh once you try it you will never buy jarred mayo again. Well maybe if you are in a hurry or short for time. I cannot have the jarred mayo (soy and/or corn oil) so I just love making my very own. I also love the thought of grating my own horseradish rather than buying it in a jar with other mystery substance in it. Jarred horseradish can also contain soy and/or corn oil. I use EVOO when I am preparing these treats.

My eggs are now cool enough for me to cut in halves and remove the yolks. I mixed the yolks, mayo, additional horseradish, MSS, diced bell pepper and I loved the hamburger pickles for this recipe. I managed to find some without garlic.

This may not be the best before or after dinner snack but it works well for me. I had some before dinner and one after dinner instead of that wonderful rich chocolate goodness I love so much as a late night treat. oh yeah, this was my after dinner fun thing. I hope you will try making deviled eggs and adding something special to the mix. How about pepper flakes, Tabasco sauce or a dash of Sriracha sauce. I very sudden use Sriracha because of the garlic but give it a try. Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ♥
